3D Navigation
By Mark NewbyOur 3D Navigation developments provide geographic information for Wildfire Incident Command in near real time, giving firefighters in difficult terrain a way to visualize deployment locations, active fire lines, previous burned areas, fuel load, and location of structures at risk. This information is based on remote sensing, is provided all in a single display, and reduces risk to personnel. The terrain can be viewed from any angle, any altitude, and any direction, providing enhanced 3 dimensional understanding of key spatial relationships.
These 3D developments require a browser with the Google Earth plug-in installed. If your browser does not have this plug-in, you will be automatically prompted to install the latest version. We highly recommend it! Embedded viewers provide state-of-the-art navigation and accessories in an easy-to-use and intuitive manner.
